Brazilian non-transgenic exports surge

(June 10, 2001 -- CropChoice news) -- In search of non-transgenic soybeans and corn, world markets are turning to Brazil.

For the first time in almost 20 years, Brazil will become a net exporter of corn.

The southern corn-growing region of Paranagua could export 3 million tons of the grain this year, up from 0 last season.
