Denmark will reduce the use of glyphosate

(Tuesday, July 8, 2003 -- CropChoice news) -- The following is a translation of the June 6, 2003 3 edition of the Danish magazine, DLZ Agrarmagazine.

After the crop/15 September 2003 it is forbidden to use glyphosate on clay grounds. The Danish environment Senator decided to forbid the use of Roundup to keep soil and groundwater levels healthy.

Studies found out that glyphosate enters into the clay 3 feet deep so it can reach drainage water, and it is also possible that it can reach deeper areas where they have layers of water which can seep through via a crack in the ground.
