US farm groups regard EU labeling proposals as 'unworkable' (June 20, 2001 – CropChoice news) – The National Corn Growers Association and the US Grains Council dislike the proposals for traceability and labeling standards in the European Union.
As currently written, if a product has 1 percent or more genetic contamination, is must be labeled. Leon Corzine, of the National Corn Growers Association, regards this as unreasonable.
