Monsanto gets permission to field test type of RR corn in Brazil (July 18, 2002 -- CropChoice news) -- Monsanto has authorization from Brazil's Agriculture Ministry to test a variety of its Roundup-resistant corn on a total of 15,000 square meters in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Parana, Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais and Goias, according to the country's Federal Register.
